Dr. Emery is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Pennsylvania Licensed professional Counselor with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field as a doctorate level counselor and administrator. He has a doctorate in psychology from Northcentral University and a master's in counseling Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Emery sees adults and older adults in individual therapy. He specializes in aging issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders, and men’s issues. As the son of a Veteran, he has a special interest in working with Veterans and their families and has been a Community Care provider for the VA since 2016.

Dr. Emery works with his patients to provide them with the guidance they need to make the necessary changes in their life. He uses cognitive behavioral therapies and solution focused therapies to help his patients move towards their goals and achieve their desired outcome.

Dr. Emery also has a Bachelor's of Science in Applied Science and Technology with a specialization in Aviation from Thomas A. Edison State College. In addition, Dr. Emery has been a professor since 1977 when he first taught flight instruction at Embry Riddle University and most recently as a professor of psychology online. Dr. Emery is a Diplomate of the National Anger Management Association, a co-founder of Applied Positive Psychology, a member of Aviation Psychology Association, Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, Positive Psychology Association and Children's Advocacy Center Association.
