Ms. Lawrence is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. Ms. Lawrence has been working in the mental health field since 2011. She holds a master’s degree in clinical counseling psychology from Brenau University and holds certificates in Applied Gerontology and Addiction Counseling. She is a Registered Play Therapist through the Association for Play Therapy and is a trained Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) provider which is a technique used to help clients reimagine stressful memories using voluntary image replacement and eye movement techniques. She is also Certified as an Anger Management Specialist and Autplay Therapy provider. Ms. Lawrence’s background includes providing individual and group counseling services to persons of all ages in outpatient community, rural, college/university, and inpatient rehabilitation settings. In addition to providing counseling services to children, adolescents, families, and adults, Ms. Lawrence assists psychologists with conducting psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological evaluations. With a combination of assessment and psychotherapy, Ms. Lawrence utilizes a holistic approach to promote change by helping clients understand their behavior in the past, find meaning in their present, and increase hope for their future. She has been a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCAGA) since 2014 and is a member of the Association for Play Therapy, South Georgia Chapter, Florida Mental Health Counselors Association and the International Society for Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
